It became mine in late 1997. After passing it at the scrapyard every day, Kim finally got tired of my constant griping about it and &#8220;part exchanged&#8221; one of our other slowly-rotting cars for it. So, in late December, it made the two-mile journey to our Kent house &#8211; under its own power, no less.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" title=\"1976 Triumph 2500. Actually, it came first &#8211; in May 2004 &#8211; making the ferry journey via the Panama Canal to Seattle in about six weeks.
